Message and accelerates its demise significantly, remove jewelry namely rings to keep metal from rubbing/scratching the leather, treat regularly with leather protectant/cleaner along with seats. You do take care of the leather don't you? If not, you can't expect something biodegradable to last too long without any help.

The executive director for our Z club even goes so far as to keep a set of leather gloves in his 350Z to wear while driving. He claims his palms sweat profusely all the time and wishes to preserve the steering wheel leather as much as possible. That's pretty committed if you ask me, but can't say I blame him, worn out and torn up steering wheel leather has got to be one of the biggest interior turn-offs IMO.
